I hit the Mods option and it takes me to the mod screen, except bugged out and I am unable to scroll or see any buttons. I tried restarting both Steam and my computer but the problem persisted. Next I reinstalled the game, which made some progress. The error code no longer appears, and the Mods tab is no longer has bugged out UI.

And not right away ... but just as she woke up after the surgery. Just to make sure it's her fault. I put her to sleep 2 more times. Before she could get up. And the game worked. And now something that doesn't make any sense. I speeded up my time and Ines woke up. She got up and went to work.

I fixed it by unsubscribing from the mod, launching the game to the main menu, quitting out, then re-subscribing and reloading. It wouldnt work unless i booted the game once while unsubscribed. Hope this helps.

Enable family view mode in steam. Then it does not launch the game, but shows that you are in family view and Rimworld is disabled. Then you disable family view mode and can reinstall the game. Have to do it every time you start GFN, though, so pretty annoying. Mods work fine for me, just subscribe in the workshop and enable in game.
